Leonardo Page 5

I have been a bad blogger lately with my progress of Leonardo. It's been three weeks and not a single update for you. And I've done a good progress on him even if I didn't work on him yesterday.
So here's my progress:
Week 1-

Week 2

Week 3

Hopefully I will try and get back into the weekly updates for you, starting from next week.

May TUSAL

I am so sorry for leaving this blog behind. I've got updates to show you, pincushions to show you and of course it's time for the monthly blog game of 'Totally Useless Stitch-A-Long'.

At the end of April I was beginning to think that there wasn't going to be any progress this month. But then I started to make some more pincushions and there was hope for some progress. Then at the beginning of May I picked up my needle and thread for Leonardo and was happy to be stitching again. So this months progress involves the clippings of pincushion making and progress on Leonardo:

I am planning on selling my pincushions on here, I just need to work out the postage and everything first. But if you would like to see some in the flesh and are in the UK check out Pritchett Collectables blog. There will find a picture of the 12 pincushions that are for sale at Gosfield Shopping Village, Cabinet 12, the Cabinet Room.
More on my pincushions later...

It's been a while

It's been a while since my last post and I have to say I'm not liking leaving this blog for too long. I think two weeks is just enough time for a break. Even then I'm thinking I need to post something, so that's where this post is coming from.

I have now finished sorting out the threads onto the bobbins. Finally! They are all now placed in the sewing box that I have tightend the screws, replaced two that were missing and gave it a good old wood balm polish to it. More or less as good as new now. I might post a picture later on, I don't know...

Most of last week saw me setting up the blog for our small business and setting up the twitter account for it as well. You can find out all about it on Pritchetts or follow us on Twitter. I have also been doing some research too. So I've been busy when I've been on the internet. With this blog calling it's name through out.

I have now decided to sell my pincushions in the cabenit (find out more on the Pritchetts blog). So this week has seen me making at least 5 more pincushions (pictures to come soon).

Good thing, my stitching bug has seem to have made it's return. From Tuesday to present, I've been stitching on Leonardo. So I have now started on page 5. Progress to come next week. It's good to have needle and thread in my hand again. It's been a long three weeks without any stitching!

And as you can see I have changed the background of this blog (again). I wonder how long it will stay like this for?

Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.

April New Moon

It's that time again in the cross stitching world. Well, really yesterday was the full moon and I'm only getting round to posting this today. Then again, I've only just gotten back from my holiday yesterday. And last month I was a few days behind. But you know what they say... better late than never.

For this month there are only the clippings from my second WIP, Waiting.

Before I went on holiday I just hadn't been in a stitching mood. I'm afraid that stitching bug may have left the building for now. I don't know. Some how I don't think there will be much stitching done this week either. By next Monday everything will be back to normal...

What is that time again anyway? You might ask. Well it's the fun blog game of Totally Useless Stitch-A-Long hosted at DaffyCat. All that's required is a small/large container that you can collect the clippings of threads from your latest WIP. Every month on or around the New Moon you need to post a picture of your container and label the post with 'TUSAL'.
It's not complicated. It's the remembering to post that can be hard. You might find yourself getting reminded when you're reading other stitcher's blog!

Once the New Moon comes around, I will be transferring the clippings into another container:

Late, late, again

Hope everyone has had a good Easter weekend and enjoyed their Easter eggs. Just a shame about the weather. But then again, it was normal Bank Holiday weather and normal weather you would except in April. Though the last two April's have been nice and sunny around this time.

I seem to be falling behind in my blogging. My graphic making is at it's peak at the moment and I seem to be writing more now to. But blog land seems to be taking a back seat at the moment. And now I'm trying to get a few posts up and ready to be scheduled for next week.

Last week was a good stitching week. I managed to get some of the hair started. I concentrated on the black stitches first then worked between the two different shades of grey.

This week however, I haven't been in a stitching mood. Instead I have been sorting out my threads (again). I brought some threads a few years ago from a car boot sale, they were stored in an old foot stool that you can open up to reveal the storage. It was a good buy back then. It's just that I've only really gotten round to putting those threads onto bobbins this week. Over the time of having these threads, some have been thrown away, loose threads have been into a plastic wallet, anything to make the basket a little bit easier to go through.
I have an old sewing box that, until now, had my stone collection in it and now I have decided to get rid of the stones (sell them) and use the sewing box to store my threads that are now on bobbins. But I still have a long way to go before all of those threads are on bobbins. I need to draw around my last bobbin on pieces of card and cut them out by hand just to get by. After holiday I think I will get the sewing spellbinder dies that includes a die for the bobbin.
Hopefully all this will be worth it, and that one sewing box will be able to hold all the threads!

Waiting week 3

Happy Easter weekend everybody. Have you had any easter eggs yet? We've all got two waiting to be eaten! Andy my favourite one is of course... The Muppets! It comes with a mug, which I don't really need but thinking of turing it into a pincushion. But how many pincushions do I need? Really?

I am late in posting the latest update on Waiting (again!!). You can blame my lack of resistence for going on the new forum all the time. Once I'm on there, that's it. I really need to do that forum last...

Last week saw me working on the hair and filling in some of the stitches that I had missed. She really is coming along really nicely:

The nice advantage of this project is that it's all full stitches. And with only full stitches, you can make progress a lot quicker. But I wonder... Will I be able to go back to Leonardo?

Where's April Page?

It's April right? Thought so...

It should be time for me to show you my April calender page for the calender challenge over at The Kathryn Wheel.
Well I have to admit that the enthusiasm for the calender challenge has burned out. Though it lasted longer than I thought it would.

I had the background all made, the daily squares all punched out... But when it came to sticking the squares onto the prepared background, that's when the enthusiasm left me. So no more calender challenge from me :(.
